Introducing the All NEW and IMPROVED 87" Manual Yellow Jacket
- We listened to all the feedback received over the past 5 years.
- We looked at every part.
- We covered every square inch of the structure.
- We considered every aspect of safety, quality of the wrap, ease of use, maintenance and shipping.
Now We are Very Proud to Introduce the Second Generation of the 87" Manually Operated Yellow Jacket Orbital Stretch Wrap Machine! Here's a Few of the Highlights.
Like a bee on steroids, this Yellow Jacket has been “pumped up” from top to bottom. This 87” Manual can take the toughest environment your shipping department can dish out.
- The new style linear bearings will be standard increasing the load capacity of the bearings from 1600 lbs to 16,000 lbs
- The rail system has been “beefed up” to a heavier, sturdier design.
The amount of bolted, mainframe connections have been replaced with welding where possible. This reduces the chance of vibration that can cause bolts to loosen. Also, increases overall strength and durability. Also, the reinforced protective frame will protect the unit during handling and shipping.

The “pan” design of the cross bars have been replaced with a solid bar to increase strength and eliminate a “dust and dirt catcher”. This eliminates a possible weak point and increases the overall strength and durability of the unit.
The break away plate has been changed from acrylic block to heavy gage steel plate.
The sides of the unit and the front are covered with clear lexan panels to allow maximum visibility while maintaining safety during operation.
The casters have been replaced with fork pockets on the unit. (Note: castors are still available as an option) This increases the stability of the unit during wrap cycle and provides a safer, easier way to move the unit. Also, eliminates the possibility of movement when not in use.
A stop pin has been added to be placed in unit when not in operation. The upper carriage will not move with lock pin in place adding to the overall safety of the machine.
The handlebar has been moved to the other side (left) and toward front of the unit. This increases visibility during the wrap and is more convenient for the forklift driver as his exit from the forklift is also on the left side. The Operating instructions, Emergency Stop Button and the Reset Button are all conveniently located next to the handlebars for easy access.
The pin on the locking system roller has been changed to a quarter turn drop in the slot system. There may still be some vibration and noise on the roll dispenser. However, this can be seen as a benefit as it signals the need to change the film roll.
Maintenance points have been reviewed and changed where possible to increase ease of access for maintenance and inspection. Also, reduced the number of bolts on access panels to speed up entry.
The ring will be driven by a direct drive gear box, eliminating the chain. It is 110 volt, 1 HP.
The gear system requires NO maintenance. The synthetic lubricant is filled at the factory.
The upright supports (on sides of ring) have been moved out to allow for maximum use of the ring and allowed for increased load capacity particularly in width. The guards are the exact size of the opening creating a safety barrier for the dispenser. Both the upper and lower supports were moved as much as possible to gain wrap area but also lower overall height of the unit. We have been able to decrease the height from 104" to 98" that allows easier shipping. Also the unit no longer requires a truck with air ride suspension. (This applies to the manual unit only.)
